No More Snooze Cruise
Wake up, but don’t hit the snooze button. Yes, it’s not the easiest thing to do, we get it, but it can give you more time for your tasks before the day truly begins. It also energizes your mind and body. Not only that, but once you successfully avoid the snooze button and get up, you’re going to feel proud of yourself and more confident that whatever happens throughout the day, you’ll be able to handle it. If you hit snooze and wake up later, you'll feel like you're in a rush. Anxiety will go up and you'll feel stressed the whole rest of the day.
Stop The Scroll
Drop that phone, babe. Avoid looking at your phone for at least the first 15 minutes after you wake up. Instead, brush your teeth, go through your skincare routine, or take a quick 30-second brisk, cold shower to wake up and get your blood flowing. You'll save time by not plunging into a mindless scroll, and have the time to do more productive things.
Sip, Sip, Hooray
Make your morning beverage. Whether it's coffee, tea, a smoothie, or water with lemon, take your time going through the ritual of making your preferred morning beverage. It will force you to slow down a bit and create a ritualistic behavior that can be quite calming. After it’s made, drink it slowly and really enjoy it mindfully.
Workin' On Your Fitness
Quick workout, anyone? Take even a short five minutes to do a quick workout before your day starts. Talk about feeling proud of yourself! It will up your energy and help you start the day on a truly healthy note.
Get Your Pen & Paper
Write it down. Before you get dressed and head out the door, make a list of the tasks you need to complete that day. Pencil in a few things you’re grateful for while you’re at it, too. This will help your mind feel prepared and resolved to knock off every item on your list.
